The Student Learning Center is the largest single building construction project in the history of the University of Georgia. It is the first building of the new center core of the school, which is being developed in concert with three other projects over the next five years to bring all the academics into the new core area.

Agricultural Sciences Building

Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College
Tifton, Georgia

Alcon constructed this 40,000 SF new Agricultural/Science building with agricultural science laboratories, general-purpose classrooms, faculty and administrative support facilities, along with a distance learning classroom, multi-purpose classroom and an animal holding area.

 The building boasts an interesting architectural feature of a glass silo with a slanted roof.

 

  

 

 

 

Cherokee County Public Schools

Woodstock Elementary School, Woodstock, Georgia

East Canton Elementary School, Canton, Georgia

 

Woodstock Elementary School and East Canton Elementary School are the two newest elementary schools in the district.  Alcon was selected to construct these schools after pre-qualifying as a contractor and offering a bid.  Each of the schools is situated on large sites and will consist of  4” Concrete Slab-On-Grade, Load Bearing Masonry Walls, Brick Veneer, Metal Stud Trusses, Built-Up Roof and Standing Seam Metal Roof, VCT Flooring, Wood Flooring In Gym, Acoustical Ceiling, HW & CC Wet Pipe Mechanical System, (Chillers, Boilers, Fan Coil Units), RTU’s, Fire Protection System, Complete Kitchen and Cafeteria/Auditorium, Media Center And Administrative Offices.
